PTA PRO SERIES (25+)


Regulations:

  • PTA PRO League is aimed at top-level tennis players who are at least 26 years old;
  • PTA PRO League is designed to bring together Latvia’s best tennis players in 250, 500 and Masters 1000 series tournaments and to promote tennis in Latvia;
  • Players are invited to join PTA PRO League based on recommendations;
  • There are places for 16 players in the tournament;
  • TOP 8 players of LTAL League A can be nominated for PTA PRO League;
  • The PTA PRO League Tournament begins with aRound-Robin (All-Play-All) Tournament;
  • 16 players are divided into four groups of four players;
  • First and second prize winners of the Round-Robin Tournament secure a place in the playoffs starting with the quarterfinals;
  • The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals of the tournament are held over one weekend: Friday (1/4), Saturday (1/2) and Sunday (finals);
  • The time limit for playing a round-robin tournament to the semifinals is 10 days for each game (30 days in total);
  • Court bookings and payments are made by the players themselves;
  • Three games are guaranteed in the tournament.

  • Video of the game (for an extra charge of 25 EUR/h)
  • The venue and time of the game will be agreed upon and announced
  • The payment for the courts is made by the players themselves

Tournament format:

  • Best two of three sets (no tie break in the 3rd set);
  • The time limit for playing is 10 days (in the Round-Robin Tournament);
  • The venue and time of the game is agreed upon with the opponent (in the Round-Robin Tournament);
  • The players themselves judge the game (in the Round-Robin Tournament);
  • Court bookings and payments are made by the players themselves (incl. ¼ finals, ½ finals un finals);
  • PTA PRO League Tournaments:
    • 250 series (Winter);
    • 500 series (Summer);
    • Masters 1000 series (Autumn).

The ranking is based on the ATP method and must be defended every year:

Points awarded for reaching the quarterfinals:

  • 45 points in the 250 series tournament;
  • 90 points in the 500 series tournament;
  • 180 points in the Masters 1000 series tournament.

Points awarded for reaching the semifinals:

  • 90 points in the 250 series tournament;
  • 180 points in the 500 series tournament;
  • 360 points in the Masters 1000 series tournament.

Points awarded for reaching the finals:

  • 150 points in the 250 series tournament;
  • 300 points in the 500 series tournament;
  • 600 points in the Masters 1000 series tournament.

Points awarded for winning the tournament:

  • 250 points in the 250 series tournament;
  • 500 points in the 500 series tournament;
  • 1000 points in the Masters 1000 series tournament.

Prizes:

The leader of the regular season’s ranking gets a special prize from the PTA cooperation partner


PTA PRO League Tournament administration fee:

EUR 35,00 / per tournament

EUR 100,00 / per season (three tournaments)
